HYDROMETALLURGY

To recover valuable constituents from concentrates or raw minerals it is sometimes necessary to use methods based on mass chemistry, where one or more of the mineral structures is changed, in an aqueous environment. PRA has extensive expertise in this fields from bench tests to demonstration plants. Projects have ranged from the recovery of valuable metals from steel furnace dusts, gold extraction from refractory minerals, production of pure cobalt, to heap leaching and solvent extraction of copper.

Our testing capabilities include:

• Cyanidation studies by the Merrill Crowe, CIP, and CIL procedures
